According to history, this was a joke that Theodor Reik told to his then teacher, Sigmund Freud. The history is taken from the vast collection of notes found under the heading "Sigmund Freud" in the Psychiatric department of the Columbia University Medical Center Library.
Considering that these notes were compiled by a combined board of psychoanalysts, psychiatrists, behavioral psychologists and cognitive therapeutic psychologists, the decision as to their veracity is left to you, the reader. Its' a good joke, though.

A patient goes to see his analyst. He sits and down, looking very sad.
The doctor asks, "Are you still suicidal?"
The patient answers, "Suicidal?! Hah! If I felt that good, I wouldn't be here!"
