this person who you perceive as having more talent than you,
can you send me a link to his work?
.... because it's not often that art takes my breath away
a person once told me that comparison's are odius.
....I read Pablo Neruda .... once tried to write a poem like him
and it was not good...but this is all part of a journey to find a voice
one can call one's own. I was reading his poetry and Elma Mitchells poetry today
and i felt envious. then I am aware of what I am missing.
Not only am i missing the beauty that is their poetry, but also
i deny myself for the future, a degree of freedom in my writing.
I am still trying to understand how to give voice to myself.
there is only one person who can write like you and
that's you. I think your poetry is amazing and as I recall I am not alone in this, not by any means
