I'm a smoker myself, so I'm not posting an anti-smoking thing here. Just some information I found about smoking and psychiatric disorders.

Those figures sound really low. Pretty well every single mental patient I've ever met is a smoker, some very heavy smokers. It has long been known to be a form of self-medication.
