I recently picked up the 8th of an eight book series ... read an enjoyed it so found the other 7 books.
They're by the author Jack Whyte and the series is The Camulod Chronicles. The series starts off about the time the Romans left Britain ( in the 400's ) and goes on through the typical Authorian myth.
Very good read if you're into historical novels - there's enough good history there to make it interesting and he writes well!
